Given the excellent condition of our funeral home fleet, we are continually being asked "if we have any cars for sale?".  While we tend to keep our vehicles longer than some firms, eventually we do replace them.  Normally our professional cars (coaches and limousines) are sold out-of-town, but the others are sold locally as opposed to trading them in.

          Typically, our vehicles have very low mileage; they are highly maintained both mechanically and cosmeticaly; we have complete service records; and they never look their age.  When it is time to replace a vehicle, it is carefully inspected by our mechanics and they repair whatever needs to be repaired (ir anything).  It also receives a safety inspection, an oil change, exterior polishing, interior cleaning, and a full tank of gas!   We cannot provide warranties with our cars, but we do our best to ensure that they are in the best condition possible, and we also make potential buyers aware of any potential problems (if there are any) as we know them.  We also encourage people to take the car to their own mechanic for another inspection, just to be sure that they are getting what they want and expect.      

          Because some of our vehicles are older, but are in excellent condition, their market value and their value to us, far exceeds "book value".  For that reason we have our cars appraised every few years for our insurance company.  When we sell a car, the asking price is normally based on the most recent appraisal.  This value may be a premium price, but it is an honest, legitimate value, from a certified appraiser.
