Historically, funeral homes in our community have been open until 9:00 pm, seven days per week, 52 weeks of the year, with the exception of Christmas and New Year's Days.  However, years ago most families had 2 evenings of visitation, so there was a valid reason for being open every evening.  Furthermore, we normally had 3 staff on-call after hours to respond when a death occured in the night.

          Several years ago, in an effort to reduce both our operating costs and prices, and to provide our staff more time with their own families, we began assessing what the real needs of our client families were with respect to our hours of operation.  Funeral service, and the expectations of our client families had changed.  Also, the modern-day convenience of reliable pagers and cellphones had changed our own requirements for on-call staff.

          Today, our funeral home is still open every day of the week, but our daily hours of operation vary somewhat, based on the specific needs and activities of that particular day:


          Monday to Friday :  Evening Gatherings/Prayers    8:30 am to 9:00 pm  
                                            No Gatherings/Prayers             8:30 am to 6:30 pm

          Saturdays:                Evening Gatherings/Prayers     8:30 am to 9:00 pm
                                            No Gatherings/Prayers              8:30 am to 5:00 pm

          Sundays:                   Evening Gatherings/Prayers     10:00 am to 9:00 pm
                                            No Gatherings/Prayers              10:00 am to 6:30 pm

         
          After hours, we have 2 staffmembers on-call to respond as required, any time of the night.  Our telephone lines are answered by Nurses' Registry Answering Service.  They are trained professionals who can provide you with our current funeral times and information.  They can also reach us by telephone, cellphone, and/or pager.  Likewise, our personal residence telephone numbers are listed with the funeral home numbers in the telephone book and yellow pages.  We are only a call away.

          Our building may not be "open" as many hours as it once was, but we are still always accessible and available when you need us.
