Mr. Alexander Harrisson Lester, age 77 years, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 5, 2012 at St. Micheal's Hospital in Toronto with family by his side.

Alexander was born on January 5, 1935 in Sand Point (MacDiarmid). He married Charlotte Exnowski on December 12, 1958. Alex worked as a truck driver for almost 40 years and at Kemp Fisheries. Alex was a family man, a devoted husband, father and grandfather.

Alex will be sadly missed by his daughters Elenore (Wayne) Gilhooly and Ingrid (Mike) Robinson; grandchildren: Emmanuela (Brad) Blanchette, Marissa Gilhooly, John Ross (Stephanie), Jack (Jen), Jake and Alexandra Robinson; great grandchildren: Mariah, Lorissa, C.J., Harley, Shelby, Malcom, Mitch and Max; brothers Alan and Melvin Lester. Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

He was predeceased by his wife Charlotte; parents; sister Mary and brother Georgie.

Funeral Services for the late Mr. Alexander Lester will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, August 13, 2012 in the EVEREST FUNERAL CHAPEL, 299 Waverley Street at Algoma. Interment will follow in St. Andrew's Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 PM in the chapel.
