It is with heavy hearts that the family of Margaret Mary Edwards announces her peaceful passing on Thursday, December 14, 2017 in her home.

Margaret was born on December 7, 1927 to the late Theresa and Steve Hudec in Fort William. She began working for CN Railway when she was 16 years old. On August 2, 1947 she married the love of her life, Robert Edwards, and they enjoyed 53 years together as husband and wife until his passing in 2001. Her passions included sewing, cooking, baking and watching sports with Bob; especially the Toronto Blue Jays and Toronto Maple Leafs. She loved spending time talking with family, friends, or anyone else she encountered. She was a very loving and caring person.

Margaret is survived by her children Bobby Edwards (Debbie), Gail (Norman) Boyer, Terry Edwards (John), Bonnie Pepper and Cindy (Luke) Maloney; grandchildren Tammy, Normie, Shawn, Scott, Ashley and Luke; great grandchildren Bryn, Cadance, McKenna, Kinley and Caleb; sister Cecile (Ron) Edwards and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband Robert as well as numerous other relatives.

Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, December 29, 2017 at 11:00 am in the Westfort Prosvita, 721 West Gore Street. If friends desire, donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Westfort Chapel, 420 West Gore Street at James.
