Mrs. Barbara Pauline Chambers, age 84 years, resident of Thunder Bay, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 7, 2018 with family at her side.

Born May 25, 1934 in Neebing Twp., she is remembered and adored by her loved ones. Barbara was a full-time mother and wife. She loved her Lord and Saviour and helped many people in any way she could.

Earlier in life she had a passion and talent for acrobatics. She was vice president of the Girls Athletic Society and was captain of her volleyball and basketball team.She loved camping, boating, swimming, cross country and downhill skiing, also spending time with family and friends at the cottage.

Barbara is predeceased by husband of 58 years, John Chambers.

She is survived by sons, Brian (Barbara) and Kevin (Merja) and daughter, Karen (Gary); grandchildren Carrie, Sarah, Aaron, Leah and Brianna; great-grandchildren Daniel and Marcus. She will be missed by surviving siblings Lynn (Gael), Moe (Jackie) and Gayle (predeceased Carey); also by nieces and nephews Leica and Todd, Cindy and Jason, Leanne, Kerrie-Anne,Danny and Dale. Many other relatives and friends are left to mourn, including longtime friend, Beverly Hill.

Barbara’s family is so grateful for the exceptional care by staff at Dawson Court and Pioneer Ridge in her late years.

A private interment will be held in Mountainview Cemetery. If friends so desire, donations to the Alzheimer Society would be greatly appreciated. Arrangements in care of Simpler Times Cremation Centre, 332 North May St. at Cameron.
