*  Fourth generation Funeral Director, born in Winnipeg, moved to Thunder Bay in 1972.
*  Attended Isabella, Kingsway, and Fort William Collegiate Schools.
*  Began at Everest's in March 1979
*  Graduated with Honours from Humber College, Funeral Services Program in 1982.
*  Received Ontario Funeral Directors License in 1982
*  Adherant of Lakeview Presbyterian Church
*  Former 66 Squadron Air Cadet, was a commissioned officer in the Reserves for many years, and has also worked with Air, Army, and Navy League Cadets.
* Instructor with the Junior Shooters' Program at Arnone's Shooting Range
*  Active in the community on various boards, committees, and professional associations including over the years, Crimestoppers; Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors; Shelter House; the Easter Seals District Council; International Order of the Golden Rule; Fuenral Service Association of Canada; and the Ontario Funeral Service Association.
* Club memberships have included the Lakehead Antique Car Club; Thunder Bay Autosports Club; the Cadillac-LaSalle Club; the Professional Car Society; CASC; New Ontario Shooters' Association; the Thunder Bay Cowboy Action League; the Thunder Bay Fish and Game; the Thunder Bay Trap and Skeet Club; CSSA, and the NFA.

*  Born in Kenora and raised in Stratton and Rainy River, where she began in funeral service in 1992.
*  Attended Humber College Funeral Services Program, Rexdale Ontario in 1993/94.
*  Interned with another Thunder Bay firm and was Licensed in Ontario as a Funeral Director in 1995
*  Joined the Everest Company in April 1996 and was located at the Westfort Chapel upon it's opening in March 1997
*  Promoted to "Managing Funeral Director - Westfort Chapel" in September 2000
*  Became a partner in the Everest company in 2009
*  Of the Lutheran Faith
*  Interests include ceramics and crafts
*  Primarily available at the Westfort Chapel

Alan George Gardiner, 24 May 1931 - 17 June 2011

*  Originally licensed as Funeral Director in Manitoba in 1955
*  Joined the Federal Government with Indian Affairs, and moved from Winnipeg to Thunder Bay in 1972
*  Purchased Everest's, January 1979
*  Received Ontario Funeral Directors License, June 1979
*  Adherent of St. Paul's Anglican Church
*  Active in music and various stage productions in Thunder Bay
*  Passed away, June 17th, 2011 at the age of 80 years

Sheleigh Dika, Licensed Funeral Director

* Raised and educated in Thunder Bay
* Attended Humber College Funeral Services Program in 2004/2005
* Joined the Everest firm for her Internship in May 2005
* Wrote her final college exams and licensing exams for her Ontario Funeral Directors License in June 2006 and graduated "With Honours" receiving her Ontario Funeral Director's License August 2006
* Spends time at both the Waverley and Westfort Chapels as required
* Volunteers with Girl Guides of Canada

Matthew James MacKenzie, Licensed Funeral Director

* Born in Brantford Ontario, and raised on a farm in Burford.
* Entered the Funeral Services Program at Humber College in Toronto in 2007.
* Joined Everest's as an Intern in June 2008.
* Passed his Ontario Board exams in June 2009, and received his Ontario Funeral Director's License that summer.
* Has decided to remain in Thunder Bay with Everest's.

* Joined Everest's team in 2002 as Waverley Chapel Preneed Counsellor through Prearranged Funeral Services of Canada.
* In February 2004 she assumed the preneed duties for our Westfort Chapel also.
* Born in Finland, and raised in Port Arthur, she currently resides in the Current River Area.
* Well known in Thunder Bay with 20 years experience in retail sales and management.
* Experienced in cemetery and memorial services.
* Received her Life Insurance License in 2002.
* Fluent in both Finnish and English.
* Active in our community including the Chamber of Commerce; Thunder Bay Business Women's Network; Professional Secretaries Association; Lutheran Community Care Centre; Scandinavian Home Society; Ladies of Kaleva; Heart and Stroke Foundation; and Epiphany Lutheran Church.

Allan J. Niemi, Senior Licensed Funeral Director (Retired)

*  Born and raised in Port Arthur
*  Fluent in Finnish and English
*  Joined Everest of Thunder Bay in 1958
*  Licensed in Ontario as a Funeral Director in 1967
*  Active member of Elim Pentecostal Church
*  Semi-retired in 2000 and retired in 2002 (still stops in and keeps in touch with the firm)

H. James Atkinson, Part-time Funeral Director / Embalmer

* Originally from Manitoba, James joined Everest's as an intern in 1988.
* In 1994 he left to pursue other interests.
* Currently works full-time as a social worker, but also spends some weekend and evening time with the Everest company.

Jean Henshell, Part-time Funeral Director / Embalmer

Sandra Harrower, Licensed Funeral Director

* Sandra was married in July 2011, and has moved to Atikokan where her husband teaches school.  We wish her all the best and we will miss her.
