Our staff is our greatest asset . While facilities are extremely important, they are only the place where "service" is provided. According to professional statistics, the entire funeral arrangements require anywhere up to 60 or more manhours to complete properly. A funeral home simply cannot provide a high level of caring service without a good team of professional people.
Our staff, including full-time and part-time people, is the largest and best in Thunder Bay. To them, funeral service is not just a job, it is a profession and a vocation. They truly care for the families we serve, and the high standards which have been the hallmark of Everest of Thunder Bay, and the Gardiner family for generations.
While our staff does change from time to time, we have been fortunate to attract and retain people that are friendly, compassionate, empathetic, highly skilled and dedicated to our mission. We spend a great deal of time, effort and money to train them to our way of doing things, and then to assist them with ongoing educational seminars and conferences.
We do our best to serve families with a team approach, and as such we require "team- players" and good communications between our people. When a family comes to us, the funeral director that they are primarily dealing with is supported by numerous other trained professionals behind the scenes. While we endeavour to have continuity between our funeral directors and families, over the course of time a family may meet or observe anywhere up to 8 or 10 of our staff. However, whether it is our licensed staff, non-licensed staff, or support people, we believe that you will feel comfortable with all of the people that you meet at either of our two facilities, and you will know that they are here to serve you.
