Obituary for Mr. John Gregory Curran

Mr. John Gregory Curran, age 49 years, passed away peacefully with his family by his side in Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre on Wednesday, August 1, 2012.
 
John had a great sense of humour and was famous for his story telling, especially the “Curse of the Crooked Dog”. He had a special place in his heart for the Boy Scouts. It was there he began his love of the outdoors. John spent many of his days fishing and hunting. He was an avid gardener and enjoyed his greenhouse. John was a generous man who was always willing to volunteer in the community or help a friend or neighbour in need.
 
Survived by his children Victoria (Majed) Alawi and Eric, grandson Abdullah; sister Katherine (Mehrdad Zarrinmakan) parents-in-law Norman and Claudette Poolton. Many nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

Predeceased by his beloved wife, Leslie and parents Con and Eileen Curran
 
An evening gathering for family and friends will be held on Monday, August 6, 2012 from 6:00PM until 8:00PM in the EVEREST FUNERAL CHAPEL, 299 Waverley St. at Algoma with Vigil Prayers being offered at 7:00PM.

If friends so desire, donations in memory of John may be made to the Canadian Liver Foundation.
