Obituary for Mr. Renato "Rene" Del Rosario Hernandez

It is with great sadness, the family announces the passing of Mr. Renato (Rene) Hernandez on February 15, 2023. He left us peacefully with his family and friends surrounding him. He was born on April 20, 1956 in Manila, Philippines.

Rene worked as a Porter and Housekeeper at the McKellar Hospital for almost two decades. He loved company and liked to invite his friends and family for supper. He loved sports such as bowling, basketball and baseball. Rene also liked fishing and driving.  He was the type of person who liked to help people as long as he could. He always had a positive attitude and a big smile on his face. He was a caring, compassionate person who will be missed by us and others.

Rene will be deeply missed by his wife Sonia, sons Randy and Renz, grandson Kaden, brother Ronnel (Ruth), sister Lourdes (Steven) Douglas, sister-in-law Quy, nephews Jon and Jesse, brother Raul (Minda), nephew Rowel, sister-in-law Chenit, nephews Tom, Gene, Carla, Michael and May, nephews  Obin, Nowel, Manny and niece Emma. Cousins  Vivien, Jojo, Manny and Emer, nephews  Robbi, Migi and Serg  and by other relatives.

Rene was predeceased by his parents Remedios and Nicolas, brothers Rey and Roberto, sisters Elvira and Ching, niece Roselle and cousin Edgar.

The family would like to thank all the doctors and staff at the TBRHSC especially at the Renal Department and ICU.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, February 24, 2023 from 4:00 to 6:00 pm in the WESTFORT CHAPEL, 420 West Gore Street at James, with a Service beginning at 5:00 pm, officiated by Msgr. P.M. Stilla, V.G. A reception will follow. Donations in Renato's memory can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundations at TBRHSC.
